Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission of claims to insurance companies. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while providing excellent service to our patients. Duties Review and verify patient information and medical records for accuracy. Scrub medical claims to ensure diagnoses and procedure codes are accurate using CPT, CPTII and ICD-10 coding systems. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related field is preferred. Familiarity with medical office operations and medical records management. Knowledge of CPT Codes, CPTII Codes and ICD-10 Codes, as well as modifiers. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
