Job Summary A Medical Billing Administrative Assistant opportunity is available in Grand Island, NY for a detail-oriented professional with medical billing or bill review experience. This temp-to-hire role supports the medical claims review process, with a focus on accurate bill intake, documentation, tracking, and compliance with New York State Workers' Compensation Fee Schedule and No-Fault insurance regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Bill Review Department to help ensure efficient daily operations.
- Review, organize, track, and document medical bills for compliance with New York State Workers' Compensation Fee Schedule and No-Fault regulations.
- Monitor bill review inventory, referral assignments, claim statuses, and completed review processing.
- Review cases and claims to confirm supporting documentation aligns with billed services.
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, faxes, invoices, and related documentation.
- Communicate with adjusters, coders, medical providers, internal departments, and external partners to resolve billing and documentation issues. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate:
$20.00 to $21.00 per hour.Job Type:
Temp-to-Hire, temp-to-perm after 720 hours.Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Start Date:
ASAP.Work Arrangement:
In-office training for 3 to 6 months in Grand Island, NY, then hybrid schedule with remote work 1 to 2 days per week based on departmental needs and rotation schedules.- Opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
