Unit Assistant We are looking for Unit Assistant to help our providers and nurses by communicating with other departments within our hospital, and also by communicating with other hospitals and agencies outside of Stillwater Medical. 32 hours per week Every Saturday & Sunday from 6:30am to 7pm and Monday & Tuesday from 6:30-11:30pm Holidays on rotation Apply now!
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the clerical functions of unit and assisting in coordination of unit activities with minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 18 years; HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Ability to type 40 wpm, preferred Ability to Communicate Effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to function appropriately in stressful situations Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful, but not required Excellent customer service skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is sedentary in nature, with some standing and walking Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person, and over the telephone Adequate vision or correctable with glasses, to prepare, process, and read written materials Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to operate equipment
