Job Description
The Municipal Court / Utility Clerk performs clerical, administrative, and customer service duties for the City. Responsibilities include processing municipal court cases, payments, citations, warrants and court records; assisting with court dockets and required reporting; processing utility payments, service requests, billing and customer accounts; maintaining accurate records; answering phones; assisting the public; and performing general City Hall office duties. Applicants should possess strong organizational, computer, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple responsibilities accurately. Municipal court or utility billing experience is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills/I3 Verticals & RVS are a plus
Ability to accurately handle payments and maintain records
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to work independently and handle multiple duties
Municipal court, utility billing, or office experience preferred
Texas Notary Public or ability to become a Notary preferred
Must be dependable and able to work well with the public
