Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Business Office Manager! We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Office Manager to oversee the administrative operations within our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of healthcare billing, insurance processes, and resident financial management. As the Business Office Manager, you will ensure smooth financial workflows, compliance with regulations, and excellent service delivery to residents and their families. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Responsibilities
    Federal Regulations Resident Financial Management:
    • Act as a fiduciary for residents' personal funds, ensuring proper deposit, safeguarding, and accounting.
    • Maintain separate accounting for resident funds, precluding commingling with facility funds, and provide quarterly statements to residents or their representatives.
    • Ensure compliance with Medicare coverage notifications, including informing residents of items and services covered and charges for non-covered services.
    Manage all aspects of billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. Prevent fraud and ensure accurate billing and cost reporting practices. Manage compliance with Medicare Part A notifications (SNFABN and NOMNC) and ensure proper documentation of resident coverage changes. Oversee Medicare, private insurance, and resident payment processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Collaborate with clinical staff, residents, families, and external agencies to resolve billing issues promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports for management review to support operational decision-making. Ensure retention of financial records and documentation in compliance with federal regulations. Ensure adherence to privacy laws such as HIPAA when handling sensitive resident information. Ensure residents are informed of their financial rights, including the ability to manage their own funds or deposit them with the facility. Maintain transparency in financial transactions and provide receipts for all resident fund transactions. Implement policies and procedures that promote efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the business office environment. Experience Proven experience in healthcare administration or business office management within a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. Strong knowledge of healthcare billing systems including Medicare, insurance claims processing, and regulatory compliance requirements. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in relevant software applications such as electronic health records (EHR) systems and accounting software. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff members, and external agencies.

    The Business Office Manager will work in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, collaborating with the Administrator, medical staff, and other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and support the facility's mission to provide high-quality care.
