Job Description

Office administrator position available in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with customer service experience to join our team. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for our business and will be required to utilize your multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment. We expect all employees to have excellent customer service skills and maintain a positive and inviting attitude at all times.
Responsibilities:
Medical reception Manage a 3-line phone system Answer incoming calls, make outgoing calls Check and respond to email inquiries Communicate directly with patients, physical therapists, and other medical offices Answer questions, take messages, communicate with coworkers & complete various insurance-related tasks Use a web based EMR & scheduling system Navigate various insurance provider portals Schedule patients & effectively utilize the electronic appointment system Data entry, document management, electronic filing, faxing Medical record keeping Manage and protect PHI (following HIPAA guidelines)
Skills/Requirements:
Capacity to multitask and prioritize Project and time management skills with strong attention to detail Self-directed with the ability to work efficiently within a team environment Proactive thinker with the ability to solve problems quickly with a positive & professional attitude Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism Strong communicator with the ability to interface with patients and coworkers with confidence Willingness to learn Punctual, reliable and committed to our team Basic computer/technology literacy Word & Excel experience (basic levels) WebPT, FOTO or billing software experience is beneficial Ability to navigate and understand insurance portals is beneficial Bilingual a plus, but not essential Compensation based on experience. Must have availability Monday through Friday (4-8 hour shifts during opening hours of 7:15am-6:45pm). No weekends.
