Business Office Manager - Skilled Nursing Facility Join a dynamic and fast-paced skilled nursing facility in Portland, Oregon, where your expertise in financial management and payor sources will be vital to our continued success. We are seeking a dedicated Business Office Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment and is committed to ensuring smooth financial operations, accurate reconciliation, and effective communication with diverse payor sources. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial operations within the business office, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable management Manage and coordinate admissions processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation Handle various payor sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other third-party payors Perform reconciliation of accounts and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate smooth admission and discharge procedures Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to billing and financial practices Prepare financial reports and analyze data to support operational decision-making Supervise and train business office staff, fostering a team-oriented environment
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in a business office or financial management role within a skilled nursing or healthcare setting Strong knowledge of payor sources, billing, and reimbursement processes Excellent reconciliation and accounting skills Ability to manage high volumes of admissions and financial transactions efficiently Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Proficiency in healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite Our organization offers a collaborative and supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care to our residents. Requirements:
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. BA degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
Licenses/Certification:
Valid driver's license required
Experience:
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred. Three years of experience in accounts receivable, collections or similar area of responsibility. Three years office or administration experience preferred.
