Part-Time Office Administrator / Bookkeeper - Automotive Eagle, Idaho Area Part-Time | In-Person | Approximately 20-25 (could be full time if needed )Hours per
Week Pay:
$24-$27/hour DOE We are a specialty classic car restoration shop looking for an experienced, organized, and self-motivated Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to help manage the day-to-day administrative side of our growing business. This is not simply a receptionist position. We need someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for tasks, working independently, communicating with customers and vendors, managing parts and inventory, and keeping the administrative side of a busy automotive restoration shop organized. Responsibilities Create and send customer invoices using QuickBooks Enter bills, expenses, receipts, payments, and other accounting information Maintain accurate and organized bookkeeping records Track customer deposits, payments, balances, and project expenses Order automotive restoration parts and shop supplies Research parts and communicate with suppliers regarding pricing and availability Track orders, backorders, returns, and incorrect shipments Maintain and organize parts and shop inventory Track incoming parts and verify orders when they arrive Help maintain accurate inventory quantities and identify items that need to be reordered Keep commonly used parts and supplies stocked Help organize parts by customer project or restoration Assist with periodic physical inventory counts Communicate professionally with customers by phone and email Communicate with vendors and maintain good working relationships with suppliers Help customers with basic questions and provide project information when appropriate Maintain customer, vendor, and restoration project records Assist with online parts orders, shipping documentation, and order-related customer service Coordinate with our accountant as needed Handle general office and administrative responsibilities Required Qualifications Previous QuickBooks experience Working knowledge of automotive terminology and automotive parts Strong phone and customer-service skills Comfortable speaking directly with customers and vendors Strong computer and email skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage and maintain inventory records Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through without being constantly reminded Self-motivated and able to work independently Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities Automotive Experience You do not need to be a mechanic, but you must be comfortable with automotive terminology and parts . You should be able to have a conversation with a parts supplier or customer and understand common automotive terms involving engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, electrical components, body parts, and restoration work. Experience working in a classic car restoration shop, automotive repair shop, dealership, parts department, body shop, or similar automotive business would be especially valuable.
