Purpose:
To support pastors, staff, and volunteers of the congregation and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the church office as we seek to learn, love, and live God's vision of healing and hope for the world Key words that describe this role:

1. Perform detailed communication and administrative tasks that support the mission and purpose of the church: Provide administrative support to pastors, staff, Church Board, and congregational Ministry Teams (Administration, Community Life, Formation, Outreach, and Worship) Support communication within and outside the congregation through regular communication channels such as announcements, bulletins, calendars, newsletters, website, email, and social media Facilitate ordering of supplies and materials as needed Oversee scheduling for the office and facility Oversee gathering and maintaining the church database through the Breeze platform Engage in special projects for the pastors, staff, Church Board, or Ministry Teams Greet visitors to the office and respond to phone calls and emails in a timely manner 3. Provide support for the church facility, including maintenance and scheduling: Contact and contract with congregational tech support/consultants as needed Serve as liaison between the Administration Team and contractors/vendors for regular maintenance and capital improvements Key gifts and skills: Excellent writing and editing skills Proficient computer skills and capacity to learn new software, specifically Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MailChimp, Adobe Acrobat, WordPress, Google Suite, and Breeze (church database); skilled management of digital files Excellent organizational and self-management skills; attention to detail and follow through; and ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines Ability to work positively and tactfully with people in and outside the congregation, including those with different personalities, backgrounds, skills, and education Ability to work alone and as part of a small team Anticipated hours: Office hours shall be scheduled as mutually agreed upon, Tuesday through Friday and between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm. Regular in-person office hours are required.
Special meetings:
1 evening/month for Church Board meeting 2 Saturday mornings/year for Leadership Summits 3 Sunday mornings/year (approx. 11:30 am -12:30 pm) Regular hours will be flexed on these weeks to accommodate If participating in congregational life (though not required), some work time is likely to occur during church events. If you are answering questions or supporting members in your staff role on Sunday mornings, a maximum of thirty minutes may be included on your timesheet. Normal Tuesday through Friday hours will be adjusted accordingly so as to stay within the allotted 20 hours per week.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
