Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Office Manager to support the daily administrative operations of a church office in Akron, Ohio. This part-time opportunity offers 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is a contract position with the potential to become permanent. The person in this role will help keep office activities organized, coordinate closely with church leadership, and provide consistent support for communication, scheduling, and routine financial administration.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage calendars, appointments, and scheduling needs while working closely with church leaders.
  • Prepare invoices and bills for review and approval, and assist with basic accounts payable and financial record support.
  • Create, format, and distribute newsletters, announcements, and other communications related to church activities and programs.
  • Welcome visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to general inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels for office materials and reorder supplies as needed to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Maintain organized files, documents, and correspondence using Microsoft Office applications and established office procedures.
  • Provide administrative support for church programs and events by coordinating details, tracking information, and following up on action items.
