Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Business Office Manager to oversee financial and administrative operations in our skilled nursing facility. This role is critical to ensuring timely billing, collections, payroll coordination, and compliance with all regulatory requirements, while also supporting the facility's leadership team in financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all business office functions, including resident billing, collections, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Process and review private pay, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance claims to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain accurate resident trust accounts and financial records in accordance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with the Administrator, corporate finance team, and department heads to monitor and manage the facility's financial health. Coordinate payroll and employee records, working closely with HR and corporate teams. Prepare and submit month-end financial reports and assist with audits as needed. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies regarding financial and administrative practices. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and vendors regarding billing and account inquiries. Supervise business office staff (if applicable), providing training, scheduling, and performance oversight.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Business Office Manager or similar role, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and long-term care billing practices. Strong understanding of accounts receivable, collections, and payroll processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with healthcare billing software preferred (e.g., PointClickCare). Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
