Job Description
Overview NaphCare is hiring a Mental Health Clerk to join our team of medical professionals working at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility facility located in Bessemer, AL As a Correctional Mental Health Clerk, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide administrative and clerical support to the Mental Health Director and Health Services Administrator. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull. Responsibilities As the Mental Health Clerk , your key responsibilities include and may not be limited to: Responsible for managing all incoming calls, direct/ transfer calls to appropriate staff, retrieve all voicemails daily and return calls, as necessary Utilize Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, to prepare various reports, memos and correspondence as needed. Also utilize specific software (X-Jail, TechCare) as needed Perform various clerical and administrative functions to include tracking supplies, utilizing purchase orders for outside vendors and distributing mail Enters client data into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including case notes, payments, and scheduling Responsible to shred all documentation containing Patient Health Information (PHI) Coordinate with Records Department for archiving files and reports Coordinate volunteer services
