Full Job Description Hours/Shifts:
Flexible and negotiable within our current business hours: Mondays-Fridays 2:00pm-8:30pm, and Saturdays 9:00a-12:30pm.
Requirements:
Experience in a dance studio or in the performing arts. Strong customer service skills with clear communication, the ability to write emails well and concisely, and a great attitude. Strong spreadsheet management, highly detailed oriented, experience with administration of 500+ accounts. Self-starter, quick learner, and works well with a team. Experience working with kids.

Responsibilities:
Making sure the studio is presentable, clean, and safe before classes begin each afternoon. This includes light cleaning (dumping small trashes, cleaning mirrors and windows, checking bathroom stock on TP and paper towels, and setting up log-in stations for students). Welcoming customers and guests in a friendly manner. Helping students get to the right classroom, signed in appropriately, enrolling students in makeup classes, etc. Enrolling new students in the system, taking payments, selling merchandise, other basic business operations. Handling customer service calls and emails according to studio policies in a friendly-but-firm manner. Working to complete miscellaneous creative or administrative projects and follow-up items. Ability to navigate computers and software well, including studio management software, spreadsheets, Asana, Slack, and email etiquette. Characteristics in the Candidate we are looking for: Responsible and reliable. The Office Assistant handles money, records, customer personal information, and other sensitive information. We need someone we can rely on, someone we know will be there when it is expected that he/she is there. Firm. It is common that customers try to "push the boundaries" on policy. Sometimes the Office Assistant has to answer "no" to customer demands. This must be handled with care, but we need the Office Assistant to make sure customers don't take advantage of the business. Friendly. Our customers want to be known, and we want to know them. Getting to know names, engaging them in conversation, building relationships... that's what we need in the lobby. The lobby sets the tone for a positive atmosphere, and you would be in charge of setting that tone as the "face of the lobby." Self-starter. Can follow through on projects, looks for areas to help and assist to make things run smoothly, stays in communication with other Office personnel, gets things done efficiently.
Pay:
This position starts at $30/hour.
