At Pro Tax Service, we provide businesses and individuals with bookkeeping, income tax, and payroll services. You will be working with the owner at an office in Fountain Valley.The Role:
Pro Tax Service is seeking a reliable Assistant / Bookkeeper to support day-to-day operations. Your main responsibility is to manage the bookkeeping & payroll for our clients. Additionally, you will communicate with clients, maintain the filing system, and handle other office administrative tasks. The most important component of this job is to be organized and being able to prioritize tasks. There are paths for higher positions (CTEC- Registered Tax Preparer) and other learning opportunities as the owner also an Insurance & Real Estate Broker & Investor.
Work Hours:
- 15-20 hours per week until the end of year.
- During tax season (January to April), you will support tax preparation services and work up to 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
categorizing transactions, reconciling bank accounts, generating monthly Income Statements and Balance Sheet with QuickBooks Online.Payroll:
data entry into payroll software (AME), saving checks/reports, and ensuring compliance with federal and state payroll taxes.- Client communication: you will speak with clients via work phone/email, resolving basic inquiries and redirecting information to the owner.
Office Administration:
organizing files on the network and physical cabinets, email management, printing, scanning, e.g.Qualifications:
- 6+ months of bookkeeping experience or equivalent with QuickBooks Online.
- Educational background in accounting or equivalent experience.
- High attention to detail and analytical skills to identify discrepancies.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Professional handling of confidential financial information.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer-savvy & 10-key typing.
- Microsoft Excel
- Vietnamese-speaking (preferred)
