This position will report directly to the Service Manager. DUTIES Processes warranty, internal and customer pay claims with labor operations and all necessary information required by the manufacturer in a timely manner to obtain best return for the dealership and advise service advisors Ensures all correct parts have been charged and if necessary re-priced Flags the inappropriate technicians for the hours earned on the operations they performed according to the manufacturer policies and procedures Keeps all factory recalls and announcements up-to-date Check repair orders against the vehicle service history to avoid making duplicate claims and technicians receiving double payments must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures as well as managing files and records Review repair orders written for proper completion, accuracy and legibility according to the applicable policies and procedure manuals Determines applicable labor operations codes, failure correction codes, part stamps and any additional data requirements to complete repair orders Returns improperly completed repair orders to the person originating the document for correction and completion as necessary
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
previous warranty administration experience highly preferred prior auto dealership experience highly preferred excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills ability to understand and execute written and verbal instructions strong computer skills detail-oriented and strong organizational skills able to work with minimum supervision able to maintain a professional appearance
