Vital Health Medical Group Penn Valley, CA Full-Time | In Person $20-$23 per hour, depending on experience Vital Health Medical Group is seeking a professional, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Front Office / Patient Services Representative to join our growing medical practice in Penn Valley. This is a full-time, in-person position. Medical office or front-office experience is preferred; however, training is available for the right candidate . Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional front-office experience Perform patient check-in and check-out Answer and route incoming telephone calls Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information Assist with insurance verification and front-office administrative tasks Collect patient payments when appropriate Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and other staff Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Assist patients with questions and help direct them to the appropriate staff member Support the front-office team with general administrative responsibilities as needed Qualifications Previous medical office, medical receptionist, or healthcare front-office experience preferred Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and health insurance is helpful Strong telephone and customer-service skills Professional and courteous communication style Ability to multitask in a busy medical-office environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems Training will be provided for qualified candidates who demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills. Compensation $20-$23 per hour , depending on experience.
