As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Position Overview The Front Desk Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional patient service while supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of the practice. You'll communicate with patients, families, referring dental professionals, and fellow team members to help ensure every patient receives outstanding care and a positive experience. Compensation $24.20-$27.50 per hour , based on experience Non-exempt position; eligible for overtime Retirement plan Paid vacation and paid holidays, subject to eligibility requirements Ongoing professional development and cross-training opportunities Opportunities to develop skills in treatment coordination, patient education, front office operations, and other areas of dental practice administration Position Details Full-time and part-time opportunities available based on business needs Reports directly to the Office Manager Immediate opening; position will remain open until filled Open to both internal and external candidates Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Front Office Operations Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression Manage patient check-in and check-out efficiently and accurately Schedule and coordinate patient appointments Communicate with patients through phone, text, email, and in-person interactions Coordinate patient care with referring dentists and other healthcare providers Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Dolphin Practice Management System Assist with general administrative and front office responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations Help provide patients with a welcoming, organized, and positive experience throughout their visit Clinical & Office Support Provide support to the clinical team as needed, including sterilization and operatory preparation between patients Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment Assist the team in maintaining an efficient patient flow Support daily office procedures and contribute to a smooth and productive work environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Previous administrative experience of 6-12 months preferred, but not required Previous dental or medical office experience preferred, but not required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider is a plus, but not required Comfortable using computers, dental practice management software, and other technology tools Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Friendly, compassionate, and committed to providing outstanding customer service Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and professional demeanor Ability to collaborate effectively with dentists, clinical staff, and administrative team members Eagerness to learn, adapt, and follow established office procedures and best practices Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and a positive attitude Benefits Competitive hourly compensation based on experience 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee discounts Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Professional development and continuing education opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement Why Join Bright Smile Dental?
