Personal Trainer•Studio Assistant 838 Strength & Fitness is a growing boutique personal training studio looking for an enthusiastic Personal Trainer / Studio Assistant to join our team. Whether you're an experienced personal trainer looking for a better coaching environment, simply looking to add a few coaching hours each week, or a qualified fitness professional ready to build your career, we'd love to hear from you. Unlike many commercial gyms, we provide paid hours while you build your client base. You'll work alongside experienced coaches, learn our individualized coaching system, assist with studio operations, and gradually develop your own schedule of personal training clients. Our studio is built around relationships, results, and individualized coaching—not cookie-cutter workouts. What You'll Do Deliver exceptional one-on-one and semi-private personal training sessions. Learn and implement our individualized programming system. Modify, progress, and regress exercises based on each client's goals, abilities, and limitations. Build lasting relationships with members through outstanding coaching and customer service. Assist with scheduling, member communication, billing, and day-to-day studio operations. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment. Support member retention by delivering an exceptional client experience. Participate in weekly coaching meetings and continuing education. What Makes 838 Strength and Fitness Different Paid hours while you build your client base. Weekly programming meetings in a collaborative coaching environment. Qualifications Nationally accredited personal training certification or a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field. Mike Boyle Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) certification is preferred, but not required, as we coach using a similar philosophy and training methodology. CPR/AED certification (or the ability to obtain it before employment). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident. Professional, dependable, coachable, and eager to continue learning. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required for otherwise qualified candidates.
