Job Description
Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Redding Elementary School as a Data Secretary. This full-time position is essential in supporting the administrative functions of the school by managing, organizing, and analyzing data related to student records, attendance, and various school programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents. Responsibilities Maintain and update student records, including enrollment, attendance, and academic performance data. Prepare and generate reports as needed for school administration and state requirements. Assist in the collection and analysis of data for school improvement initiatives and assessments. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data entry and management systems. Coordinate with teachers and other staff to gather necessary data and support their informational needs. Respond to inquiries from parents and staff regarding student data and school policies. Assist in the preparation and organization of school events and activities, including data collection for evaluations. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to FERPA regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by school administration. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred. Proven experience in a data management or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Familiarity with educational data systems and regulations is a plus. Must pass background checks as required by school district policies.
