09/16/2026 West Hartford Public Schools seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Clerk II at King Philip Middle School. The Clerk II supports the school community by providing a welcoming environment and clerical support to staff members and students. This is a 12-month position with full benefits.
Qualifications:
Prior school office/clerical experience highly desirable. Proficient computer skills in Google platform documents, Power School/Student Management system experience with electronic communications/newsletters preferred. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform responsibly, interact with staff and public in a self-reliant, courteous, and professional manner, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Duties:
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Staff attendance records Daily staff coverage
Transcripts and Residency:
Including entries and withdrawals, records release & Residency inquiries Assumes responsibility for data entry and retrieval. Maintain files and records. Update/Maintain master and school calendars and room reservations information Create and maintain PowerSchool forms and approvals School Transportation Liaison. General Assistance with phone, staff, and students Please include a current resume and 3 letters of recommendation dated within the last 365 days. Excellent salary, benefits, and working conditions.
