General Office Clerk
Job Description
Description We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented General Office Clerk to support the daily administrative and client service needs of a nonprofit organization in Miami, Florida. This contract-to-hire opportunity is a great fit for someone who is organized, professional, and comfortable handling a variety of clerical, data entry, and front-office responsibilities in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
+ Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond professionally to routine questions and messages.
+ Welcome visitors and provide friendly, professional front-desk support.
+ Perform accurate data entry and update client information in office systems and Excel spreadsheets.
+ Maintain organized and confidential client records, including reports, referral updates, and intake documentation.
+ Organize, file, scan, and retrieve documents to ensure records remain accurate and accessible.
+ Support case management staff and therapists with clinical information and documentation requests.
+ Respond to client inquiries, provide requested information, or direct clients to the appropriate staff member.
+ Prepare, update, and maintain forms, correspondence, reports, and other administrative documents.
+ Record, compile, transcribe, and distribute meeting minutes and agendas.
+ Monitor office supplies and help maintain organized and functional shared office spaces.
+ Assist with additional clerical and administrative tasks as needed to support daily operations. Requirements
- Prior experience in administrative, clerical, or general office support work is preferred.
- Comfortable using computers for routine office tasks and data entry.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word and basic Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments at once while staying organized and attentive to accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle conflict in a constructive manner.
- Must be available to work on site Monday through Friday.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and support evolving office needs.
