Two years of administrative experience is required. Additional administrative experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Recruitment Notes The Administrative Officer 3 is a senior-level role within the Miami-Dade County Aviation Department (MDAD) that provides high-level administrative support to the Assistant Director of Administration. Key functions include planning, coordinating, and overseeing administrative activities, special projects, and strategic initiatives, particularly within the Assistant Director's oversight divisions: Information Systems and Telecommunications, Small Business Engagement, and Human Resources. Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis; preparing and reviewing reports, correspondence, memoranda, presentations, budget materials, and other executive-level documents; coordinating and monitoring assignments across multiple divisions and stakeholders; and ensuring the timely completion of projects and deliverables. The position requires strong independent judgment, initiative, and organizational skills to manage complex assignments, set priorities, and resolve administrative issues effectively. Airport Security Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
