Location Downtown Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 41736.14 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 70450.72 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications Eighth grade. Must possess a CDL/Class B with a passenger endorsement, School Bus (S) Endorsement, and a good driving record. Recruitment Notes This is light manual work in the operation of motor vehicles used to transport the ill. Work involves responsibility for the safe operation of passenger vehicles such as vans, station wagons or automobiles in transporting ill persons. Incumbents typically transport patients to clinics, hospitals or other treatment facilities from nursing homes or private residences. Some employees in the class transport clients undergoing rehabilitation treatment to medical facilities. Incumbents must possess an appropriate state driving license and must complete training enabling them to provide first aid to patients being transported in emergencies. Work is performed under a technical or administrative superior who makes trip assignments and spot checks quality of transportation service being provided. This position is funded through a grant and is contingent upon continued grant funding and renewal.
