Job Description

AM PM Staffing is seeking a dependable and organized Temporary Administrative Assistant for our client's Wastewater Department to provide coverage for 3-4 months. This position will provide administrative and customer service support to the department and will serve as a point of contact for residents, department staff, and other offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving and processing phone calls from residents requesting wastewater-related work or services. Updating and maintaining the department's call log. Communicating with foremen and residents regarding work requests, scheduling, and job status. Maintaining the sewer permit database and ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date. Scheduling sewer inspections. Notifying the Planning and Zoning Department of final sewer inspection approvals for the release of permanent power. Preparing and maintaining logs for lift station maintenance. Assisting visitors at the department's service window and providing courteous customer service. Receiving, sorting, distributing, and processing incoming and outgoing mail. Performing other administrative duties and providing general support to the Wastewater Department as needed.
The ideal candidate will:
Have strong communication and customer service skills. Be organized and detail-oriented. Be comfortable handling telephone calls and assisting members of the public. Have the ability to maintain accurate records and databases. Be able to communicate effectively with department staff and other offices. Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently. Have basic computer and office skills.
Pay rate:
$18.50/hour
Hours:
Mon- Friday 8am-4:30pm
Pay:
$18.50 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
