Job Description Under supervision of school administrator, general clerical duties as may be assigned Ability to work with students, staff and parents/guardians with a positive attitude and pleasant manner while multi-tasking in a busy, fast paced elementary school office. Document attendance records and correspondence accurately and efficiently. Order school supplies and process purchase requisitions/orders. Transmit and take messages promptly, courteously and accurately. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Position Details This is a school year position of 205 days. Qualifications Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace along with other current technology Experience with Aspen and/or Munis is a plus Prior experience in a school or district position preferred Education High school diploma or equivalent Compensation Compensation is set in accordance with the AFSCME School Administrative Assistants collective bargaining agreement. Employment Eligibility Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a CORI and SORI background check and fingerprint-based national criminal history check, in accordance with Massachusetts law. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
