Job Summary This position is responsible for the daily operation and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency in the Academic Advising Center and K-12 Initiatives Programs. Responsible for administration, management and support of complex programs such as Discovery Academy, Perkins Grant and co-planning and registration of camps.Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of:
- Communications sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files
- Accounting/budgeting/expense reporting sufficient to monitor and balance multiple budgets and grants
- Manage an office or work area by planning, organizing, administering, and directing the work of workstudy or student workers.
Ability to:
- Accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data
- Typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy
- Respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes Physical Requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations: Ability to:
- Work in a seated or standing position for extended periods of time
- Use a keyboard for extended periods of time which may include repetitive motion
- Move and/or transport items weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Maintain a stationary position for a prolonged period of the day
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two year degree or diploma
- Experience working in a fast paced office setting
- Experience working with data management software programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment.
- Demonstrates strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with exceptional attention to detail; works independently with minimal supervision and remains adaptable when managing shifting priorities and navigating unclear procedures or expectations.
- Bilingual/multilingual in Spanish, Somali, French, Hmong, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.
- Ability to apply equity-minded practices to support the academic success and engagement of students from diverse backgrounds and with varied abilities and interests. Other Requirements
