  • is leading the charge for the Department of Corrections in ensuring transparency and collaboration when determining inmate placement.
This team works closely with our treatment and rehabilitation partners providing support to match the unique needs of each individual, while balancing the concerns of victims andmunity safety. JOB SUMMARY-The Montana Department of Corrections Commitment Oversight and Release Section is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to fill the Administrative Assistant role. In this position, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the CORS team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and a high level of attention to detail. This role requires a balance of teamwork and independent thinking; you will collaborate closely with staff across the section while also taking initiative to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision. Clear and professionalmunication-both written and verbal-is essential, as the Administrative Assistant will frequently interact with internal staff, partner agencies, and members of the public. The successful candidate will be adaptable, resourceful, andmitted to supporting the mission of the Department of Corrections. Key responsibilities include
  • Managing and organizing records, documents, and correspondence
  • Coordinating meetings, scheduling, and travel arrangements
  • Assisting with reporting, data entry, and information tracking
QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma
  • Two years of experience performing a variety of office support or clerical work.
  • Otherbinations of education and experience may be substituted.
