Position Type:
Graduate AssistantPosition DescriptionMayville State University is seeking a motivated graduate student interested in building a career in collegiate athletic administration. The Graduate Assistant for Athletic Administration will gain practical experience in the day-to-day operations of a university athletic department while working closely with athletic administrators, coaches, student-athletes, and campus departments.

This position is designed for an individual who aspires to become an athletic director or pursue another leadership role within collegiate athletics. The graduate assistant will receive hands-on experience in athletic department operations, event management, compliance, budgeting, fundraising, communications, and student-athlete support.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include:

Assist with the planning and administration of home athletic eventsSupport game-day operations, including event setup, staffing, ticketing, hospitality, and facility coordinationAssist with athletic department scheduling, recordkeeping, purchasing, and general office operationsSupport departmental compliance activities and maintenance of required recordsAssist with fundraising events, sponsorship activities, and donor engagementHelp coordinate athletic department promotions, communications, and community outreachAssist with student-athlete programming and special eventsWork collaboratively with coaches, athletic staff, campus departments, officials, and visiting teamsParticipate in athletic department meetings and administrative projectsPerform other duties related to athletic administration as assignedSome evening and weekend work will be required based on athletic schedules and special events.

Minimum QualificationsAdmission to or enrollment in an eligible graduate programBachelor's degree from an accredited institutionDemonstrated interest in collegiate athletics and athletic administrationStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlinesAbility to work effectively with students, coaches, employees, visitors, and community membersProficiency with Microsoft Office or similar workplace technologyAbility and willingness to work evenings and weekends as requiredPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in athletics, event management, student activities, recreation, communications, business operations, or a related areaCareer interest in becoming an athletic director or collegiate athletic administratorKnowledge of NAIA or collegiate athletic programsExperience working with student-athletes, athletic events, fundraising, social media, or promotional activitiesApplication InformationApplicants should submit:
