Job Description
Overview We're hiring a full-time Medical Receptionist for a small, friendly doctor's office. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, facilitate seamless patient flow, and support clinical staff with administrative tasks. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while ensuring efficient office functionality. Our practice is patient-focused, and we are looking for someone who enjoys helping others and works well as part of a team. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Schedule appointments using electronic medical record (EMR) system Manage medical records by filing, retrieving, scanning and updating patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and taking detailed messages when necessary Support other clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed to keep the office running smoothly Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Front Office Assistant in a healthcare setting; clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Self-starter who takes initiative is a plus Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in documentation review and data entry
