Job Description

We are a well established property management company based in Astoria looking for an Administrative Assistant that will assist the property management team in the day-to-day operations related to the management of approximately 100 residential properties. Prior property management experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right individual! You must be a team player who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Duties include:
Taking calls/emails from tenants and documenting complaints and needed repairs Entering work orders in database system Contacting supers, handymen, and/or appropriate contractors to address repairs Keeping track of repair progress and following up with residents and owners/landlords Assisting in resolving building violations & compliance requirements Communicating with owners, boards, and tenants in a professional manner Following policies and procedures to assure the property is well managed and documents are properly maintained
Requirements:
Friendly demeanor and customer service-oriented personality Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Self-starter who can multi-task and remain focused Detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize & follow up Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and writing skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook)
Desired Experience/Skills:
2+ years of office or customer service General office and computer knowledge
Desired Education:
Associates Degree, preferred Salary Commensurate with experience Benefits Company offers health and benefits after term of employment.
Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
