Every year, we manage thousands of truckloads while recycling organic materials, reducing landfill waste, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and producing high-quality compost for farmers, landscapers, and communities across the Spokane region. We're a growing, locally owned company looking for a dependable Office Assistant / Scale Clerk who wants more than just a paycheck. Position Overview As an Office Assistant / Scale Clerk, you'll report to the office manager, help keep our daily operations running smoothly by assisting fellow team members, truck drivers, and the management team. This position offers a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for advancement. What You'll Do Weigh inbound and outbound trucks and record load information accurately Greet drivers, vendors, and visitors professionally Answer and direct phone calls Enter data and maintain accurate company records Assist with reports and administrative tasks Support the Office Manager and management team Maintain organized office files and systems Learn facility operations and support other office functions Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Required Strong work ethic and positive attitude Dependable and punctual Professional communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Basic Microsoft Office skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Office, customer service, reception, dispatch, bookkeeping, or administrative experience Experience with trucking, logistics, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, or industrial operations Data entry and recordkeeping experience QuickBooks experience Social media or marketing experience (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, etc.) Why Join Barr-Tech?
