Job Description
Description We are looking for a dependable Office Assistant to join a team in a contract-to-permanent position. This permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting people, managing administrative tasks, and delivering a positive service experience in a busy setting. The role offers training and is well suited for candidates with prior administrative experience, strong computer skills, and a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist individuals by answering questions, providing guidance, and ensuring a positive service experience.
- Process applications accurately while reviewing details, organizing records, and maintaining complete documentation.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to routine inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
- Scan, file, and manage documents to support efficient office operations and accurate recordkeeping.
- Perform a range of clerical tasks such as data entry, correspondence support, and general administrative coordination.
- Use Microsoft Office and other computer-based tools to track information, prepare materials, and update records.
- Support a fast-paced workflow by managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Requirements
- At least 1 year of administrative, office support, or related detail-oriented experience.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist individuals in a respectful and helpful manner.
- Comfortable using computers and common office software, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience handling clerical duties such as document processing, scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear verbal communication skills for answering inbound calls and addressing questions effectively.
- Previous experience in a nonprofit setting is helpful, though not required.
- Bilingual language skills are a plus and may qualify for additional pay.
