Job Description West Genesee CSD has an immediate opening for a

Part-time Typist I, Elementary School Main Office East Hill Elementary Typical Duties:

Greeting and assisting students, parents, and visitors

Typing letters, memos, reports, and other documents.

Maintaining office files and records.

Answering and directing phone calls.

Performing data entry and other clerical tasks using a computer.

Handling mail and other correspondence.

Providing clerical support to the school's main office staff.

Hours:

3.75 per day

Appointment:

10-month appointment, which aligns with the typical school year.

Civil Service Requirements:

The position is a New York State Civil Service job. However, as a part-time position no civil service exam is required. To be considered, you will need to meet the minimum qualifications, which include graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma. Qualifications Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.

Some level of clerical experience may be preferred or required.
