Job Summary As a Contract Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to designated routes. This position requires a reliable individual who can navigate various driving conditions while ensuring that all deliveries are made efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to customer service. Responsibilities Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes. Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking any undelivered items. Load and unload mail and packages. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from recipients during delivery. Follow established routes while being adaptable to changes in delivery schedules or routes as required. Assist in moving items within the warehouse or distribution center when not on delivery routes. Skills Proficient in driving various types of vehicles. Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills to ensure timely deliveries. Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Physical stamina to handle moving packages and standing for extended periods during the workday.
