  • 4:00 pm (30 minute lunch) School Site Moorpark High School Start Date Friday, August 3, 2026 Job Summary Job Summary Under general supervision, to welcome visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, and directing and announcing them appropriately; to answer, screen and forward incoming calls; to give routine information to the public; to do related work as required.
  • Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive in the office.
  • Multitask and prioritize.
  • Provide basic and accurate information via phone/email and in person.
  • Learn rapidly and properly apply the policies, procedures, and routines of the assigned area.
  • Perform a variety of clerical work and record-keeping of moderate difficulty.
  • Compose simple and routine correspondence as directed by supervisor.
  • Sort and file accurately and locate material(s) in files.
  • Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer and assigned software.
  • Type or input data accurately at an acceptable rate of speed.
  • Maintain and order various records of purchases and supplies.
  • Answer telephones and greet the public courteously.
  • Perform arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Complete work with many interruptions.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

  • Appropriate record-keeping and filing techniques.
  • Operation of a computer and assigned software.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Professional, welcoming attitude and professional appearance.
