Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing insurance processes and administrative duties. Your energetic approach will help streamline clinic operations, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process at the front desk Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information or directing inquiries appropriately Verify patient insurance coverage, including Medicare, HMO and PPO insurers, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate Collect and review medical records, care plans, and documentation for completeness and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Assist with dental billing and collections Enter data accurately into systems while maintaining meticulous records of patient interactions and insurance claims Support the manager with administrative tasks such as filing, appointment scheduling, and maintaining patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations Skills Proven experience in dental office administration with strong clerical skills including filing, typing (10 key), and data entry Extensive knowledge of dental insurance processes including billing, collections, Medicare/Medicaid procedures, and health insurance terminology Excellent customer service skills with phone etiquette proficiency; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations Strong computer skills across Microsoft Office suite; ability to adapt quickly to new software applications used in clinical settings Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA regulations; experience managing electronic health records securely Prior clinic or dental office experience preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and health information management practices enhances effectiveness in this role
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
