Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, and energetic Experienced Veterinary Receptionist/Customer Service Representative (CSR), who will be the friendly face and organized voice of our clinic, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional client experiences. Your expertise in veterinary administrative support, animal handling, and client communication will help create a welcoming environment where pets and their owners feel cared for and confident in our services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for animals with your skills in front desk management, medical coordination, and veterinary terminology. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk with professionalism and efficiency Handle medical collections accurately, ensuring proper billing and insurance processing Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures to ensure safety for pets and staff when needed. Maintain detailed records of patient visits, treatments, and laboratory results using veterinary software systems Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine Proven experience in veterinary clinic administration, including front desk duties and client communication Familiarity with veterinary software systems for scheduling, record keeping, and billing purposes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally Ability to perform animal restraint safely using proper techniques for dogs and cats Knowledge of animal anatomy, animal husbandry practices, and pet care essentials Experience with laboratory procedures, medical collection techniques, and aseptic protocols Competence in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication tasks Strong multitasking and organization skills Compassion and a friendly, welcoming demeanor. Ability to stay calm and handle stressful or emotional situations (such as emergencies or end-of-life care). Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and preventative care without giving medical diagnoses. Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices including emergency response protocols Avimark experience and Spanish speaking is a plus! Pay:
$16.95 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
