Our mission is to provide compassionate representation and prevent the separation of families. Candidates for the position are expected to share our mission. Applicants who are not fluent in both English and Spanish will not be considered. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office; Direct visitors to the appropriate person; Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls; Maintain the office call log; Manage the various office calendars; Schedule meetings and appointments; Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable; Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email; Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries; and Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing. Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); High school diploma (AA degree or higher is a plus); Experience working in a professional office (one year or more; law office preferred); Professional attitude and appearance; Customer service attitude; Genuine interest in immigration law and advancing the interests of the immigrant community; Empathy for and a desire to help the immigrant community; Solid written and verbal communication skills; Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers); Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent organizational skills; Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks; and Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role is a plus;
