We are currently looking for a person that can communicate well with the public, LOVES animals, and has a positive attitude. Critical thinking, teamwork, excellent communication, and general cleaning skills are vital to this position. We are currently a one doctor practice and strive to give the best client communication and veterinary care in town. In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a compassionate team/family dedicated to animal health and well-being. Responsibilities and Skills Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a positive first impression. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to clients; proficiency in veterinary terminology is a plus. Basic computer skills - be able to use Windows based computer programs Answering phones, taking phone messages, and performing call backs on previously seen patients Maintain proper documentation of client information in medical records and inputting in previous medical and vaccine records into our system Schedule appointments efficiently while accommodating urgent cases when needed. Responsible for the flow of clients into and out of the practice Making and going over estimates with clients Going over consent forms with clients Taking payment including deposits as well as being able to give refunds and credits Managing client/patient record requests from other hospitals and referral facilities as well as being able to create vaccine certificates for the clients. General cleaning and maintaining the front office and exam rooms Proficient with client education and basic understanding of routine preventative medicine (vaccines/surgeries/parasite control) and hospital protocols Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
