Part-time Position Summary:
The Afternoon Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for members, families, and visitors during afternoon program hours. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming environment while ensuring the safe and accurate check-in and check-out of youth. The receptionist also provides administrative support by answering phones, taking messages, and assisting families with general program questions.Essential Responsibilities:
Greet members, families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Check members in and out using the brightwheel app. Verify that the individual picking up a child is authorized on the child's account and confirm identification when necessary. Ensure all member check-outs are completed accurately and safely. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to basic questions regarding program hours, registration, schedules, and general information. Take accurate messages and relay them promptly to the Administrative Assistant or appropriate staff member. Maintain confidentiality of members and family information. Monitor the front entrance and notify administration of any safety or security concerns. Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming. Assist with other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service, receptionist, or office experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using computers and learning membership management software. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Fluent in Spanish preferredSchedule:
This is a part-time, school-year position with regular hours Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:45 PM.
