Job Description

Job Summary:
The Campground Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests, providing friendly, professional customer service while ensuring smooth daily campground operations. This role involves greeting visitors, managing reservations, processing payments, answering questions, and assisting guests throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome campers and visitors with a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Check guests into campsites, cabins and rentals.
  • Make, edit, and cancel reservations using reservation software.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate cash and credit card transactions.
  • Provide information about campground amenities, activities, local attractions, and park rules.
  • Pick up stock and selling of supplies or other retail items.
  • Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, occupancy, and guest information.
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping staff regarding campsite readiness and guest needs.
  • Follow campground safety policies and emergency procedures.
  • Issuing parking permits
  • Posting of weekly activities, preparing Qtr Newsletter and sending out information on the official USCR facebook page and emailing information to owners on email blast etc.
  • Prepare daily reports for Housekeeping, Maintenance and Security.
  • Send and receive Consent Form for background check .
  • Enter new deeds and transfer of deed into the reservation system.
  • Maintain monthly recurring invoices for RV, Golf Cart, & Utility Trailer Storage.
  • Verifying golf cart insurance and issuing golf cart stickers..
  • Prepare key fobs and other means of entrance for the front gate.
  • Duties as may be assigned.
  • Reports to Park Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or front desk experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with reservation or point-of-sale systems preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments as needed.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in hospitality, parks, or campground operations.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and recreational activities.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong customer service skills, and creates a welcoming experience for campers.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
