Job Description

Position Summary:
The Park Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative, financial, and operational functions of the private campground resort. This position ensures the efficient operation of the resort office, maintains financial records, supervises staff, supports the Board of Directors, and provides excellent customer service to members, guests, and property owners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets with the Treasurer/Board of Directors.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Invoice and collect membership dues, fees, and assessments.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and present them to the Board.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
  • Coordinate annual audits and provide requested documentation. Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain all campground records, contracts, and business documents.
  • Prepare agendas, reports, and meeting materials for Board meetings.
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes when assigned.
  • Maintain confidential personnel and business records.
  • Ensure compliance with governing documents, policies, and applicable laws. Office Management
  • Supervise office staff and provide training and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement office procedures and policies.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and technology systems.
  • Ensure efficient daily operations of the campground office. Housekeeping Management
  • Supervise housekeeping staff and provide training and performance evaluations.
  • Develop housekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Direct daily cleaning operations, supervise staff, maintain high sanitation standards.
  • Enforce proper chemical handling. Maintenance Management
  • Oversee maintenance staff and all repairs of the campground.
  • Provide supervision and perform regular performance evaluations of the Maintenance
  • Manager.
  • Ensure maintenance records, work order and other necessary paperwork are maintained.
  • Aid as needed with problem situations in maintenance. Customer and Member Relations
  • Serve as the primary contact for campground members, property owners, and guests.
  • Respond professionally to inquiries, complaints, and concerns.
  • Assist in resolving disputes and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Promote a positive and welcoming environment throughout the resort. Human Resources
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training employees.
  • Maintain employee records and payroll information.
  • Ensure compliance with personnel policies and employment laws.
  • Recommend and/or carry out disciplinary actions when necessary and document personnel matters. Operational Support
  • Support operations of a 300 site camping resort including front office, registration, housekeeping, security, store and maintenance. Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping and security departments..
  • Monitor vendor contracts and service agreements.
  • Ensure resort operations align with the organization's mission and goals. Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years of management or administrative experience.
  • Experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in office software and accounting systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of campground, resort, operations preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the Board of Directors and staff. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds. Preferred that a back brace is worn when lifting heavy items. Remove back brace after lifting items as constant wearing braces can cause back issues. Ask for help if an item is too heavy for one person.
  • Ability to work weekends as required for meetings and special events.
  • Employment Status
  • Full-time, exempt position (unless otherwise designated by the Board).
  • Salary and benefits determined by the Board of Directors.

$54,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
