Prior customer service or receptionist experience is preferred. Must love animals! Your passion for pets should shine through in the care and attention you provide to every boarding guest. A genuine interest in animal health, behavior, and well-being, along with a willingness to learn proper animal handling and care techniques. The ability to confidently and safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. The willingness to cross-train and assist in all areas of our boarding facility and veterinary practice as needed. Dependability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Must be comfortable with the physical demands of kennel work, including standing for extended periods, lifting, cleaning, and handling animals. Job Responsibilities As a Kennel Attendant / Receptionist, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with our boarding guests while assisting with the daily operations of our boarding facility.

Responsibilities include:

Providing exceptional daily care to boarding dogs and cats, including feeding, walking, exercising, and monitoring their overall well-being. Maintaining clean, sanitary, and comfortable kennels, boarding areas, and common spaces. Monitoring boarding guests for changes in behavior, appetite, or health and promptly communicating any concerns to our veterinary team. Greeting clients, checking pets in and out of boarding, answering phone calls, and assisting with reservations. Maintaining accurate boarding records, feeding instructions, medication schedules, and client information. Administering medications to boarding guests as directed and in accordance with established protocols and training. Assisting clients with questions regarding boarding services, availability, pricing, and facility policies. Ensuring all boarding guests receive individualized attention, enrichment, and compassionate care throughout their stay. Working closely with our veterinary and kennel teams to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. Assisting with laundry, cleaning, stocking supplies, and other daily tasks to keep our facility running smoothly. Compensation & Benefits We are searching for a great candidate and offer competitive pay accordingly. The starting hourly range for this position is dependent upon experience.
