Medical Receptionist/Assistant Job Description The Silver Lining Behavioral & Mental Health Clinic Job Overview Join our dynamic Mental Health Healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients and supporting smooth clinic operations. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact, managing patient intake, scheduling appointments, and ensuring accurate documentation. Your expertise in medical administrative support and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will help facilitate efficient clinic workflows and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and patient care. Key Responsibilities Front Office Operations Manage front office operations efficiently, including greeting patients and visitors warmly and handling phone correspondence with professionalism. Oversee scheduling and management of patient intake, appointment confirmation, and daily recalls. Manage daily clinic correspondence including emails, voicemails, and patient inquiries. Clinical & Administrative Support Provide clinical support by collecting patient vitals and assisting providers and our Medical Assistant during oral Ketamine Therapy as needed. Maintain and update accurate medical records, verifying that annual paperwork, identification, and insurance cards are properly uploaded. Assist patients with insurance coverage inquiries and support clinic verification processes. Maintain financial documentation, including daily cash logs and patient copay tracking. Operational Compliance & Teamwork Strictly comply with all HIPAA guidelines, clinic protocols, and established employee handbooks. Collaborate professionally with providers and fellow staff members to deliver top-quality service. Participate in ongoing training modules and assist with onboarding new team members. Qualifications & Skills Proven proficiency and practical experience utilizing EHR systems and standard office software applications. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance procedures. Exceptional communication skills, including phone etiquette and proactive patient updates. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple administrative duties efficiently.
Employment Terms & Expectations Schedule:
Monday 9:00 AM- 12:30/2:30PM Tuesday
- Thursday 9:00 AM
- 5:30 PM , with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
Benefits:
The clinic offers health and vision insurance benefits. All new employment begins with a 90-day probationary training period. Schedules are subject to change based on clinic operational needs; proper notice will be provided for modifications.
