In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in delivering medical services, ensuring each pet receives compassionate and thorough treatment. Your expertise will support a wide range of clinical procedures, animal handling, and client communication, all while maintaining a lively and positive environment. Duties Assist Spanish speaking clients and Veterinarian with communication Answer phone calls, text messages, emails and schedule appointments for Clients as needed Ability to take initiative, show responsibility, and ensure task are completed without needing to be told. Learn and follow all Hospital protocols thoroughly Assist veterinarians with appointments from start to finish. Including appointment intake, restraining patients for exam/treatments, dispensing medications , checking out clients, and scheduling future appointments. Assist with patient intake as they arrive for surgical procedures and dentals. Assist technicians with prepping patients for surgery and dentals. This includes restraining for injectable medication's , IV catheter placement, and connecting surgery monitoring equipment. As procedures are completed assist technician by cleaning surgical instruments and preparing surgery room for the next procedure Manage pet care routines including ear cleaning, collecting ear cytology samples, feeding, administering oral medications and preparing vaccines for appointments. Take X-ray images accurately while ensuring proper animal positioning and safety protocols Hands-on kennel experience along with familiarity in animal husbandry practices for dogs, and cats Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals.
Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
