The Dog House of L.C. & L., Inc. is seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you will play a key role in creating a positive experience while helping manage daily operations for our daycare, boarding, grooming, and training services. Shift Availability Reception Staff must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by the business.

  • 4:00 PM Job Summary Welcome clients and their dogs to The Dog House of L.
C. & L., Inc. in a professional and friendly manner. Provide excellent customer service while answering customer questions, inquiries, and taking reservations over the phone, in person, and through email. Reception & Customer Service Responsibilities Greet clients and their dogs in a friendly and professional manner Check dogs in for daycare, boarding, and grooming services Escort dogs to the appropriate play area or grooming area and review instructions with owners Answer incoming phone calls professionally and courteously Respond to emails throughout the day Schedule appointments and reservations for new and existing clients Maintain accurate records in Gingr File documents and client records Contact veterinary offices to obtain vaccine records Make reminder phone calls to clients Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately Assist with preparing the facility for Training Nights three times per week Cleaning & Animal Care Responsibilities Sweep, mop, and dust lobby areas throughout the day Maintain a clean and organized work environment Shovel, sweep, and clean outdoor areas as needed Dust and sanitize reception counters and desks at closing Let dogs out for potty breaks and walks as needed Feed and administer medications accurately according to instructions Wash dishes and food bowls Complete facility laundry Clean up pet accidents promptly and thoroughly Clean kennels throughout the day and during evening shifts Ensure all dogs have access to fresh water Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional, and dependable Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Comfortable working around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments Team Oriented Working Conditions This position requires employees to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Customer service is a top priority; however, employees may occasionally encounter difficult situations and must maintain professionalism at all times. Working in a dog daycare and boarding facility can be physically demanding, loud, and fast-paced. Team members must be able to multitask, remain patient, and complete tasks accurately while ensuring the safety and well-being of the dogs in our care. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods Kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, and climb as needed Lift and carry dogs and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday Safely handle dogs of all sizes on and off leash Visually observe injuries, health concerns, and behavioral changes Additional Employment Information All employees are subject to a 90-day probationary period. Employment may be terminated at any time, with or without cause or notice, during the probationary period.
