Job Description

Veterinary Receptionist Associated Veterinary Clinic is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Our front desk is a fast-paced environment, and our receptionists play an essential role in keeping the clinic running smoothly while providing excellent service to our clients and pets. Responsibilities
  • Answer and manage a busy 4-line phone system
  • Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule appointments while effectively managing a busy veterinary schedule
  • Contact clients to provide updates and follow up on how patients are doing
  • Accurately document phone calls, client communications, and other pertinent information in patient charts
  • Communicate client questions, concerns, and patient information to veterinarians and other team members
  • Prepare patient charts and necessary paperwork for upcoming appointments
  • Check clients in and out and process payments accurately
  • Open the clinic and prepare the cash drawer for the day
  • Complete closing paperwork, and end-of-day front desk responsibilities
  • Maintain an organized and clean reception/front desk area
  • Assist Veterinary Assistants and other team members when needed
  • Help coordinate the flow of appointments and communicate delays or changes with clients and staff What we're looking for
  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable handling high volume of phone calls and client interactions
  • Detail-oriented with string organizational skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Dependable and able to work well as a part of a team
  • Comfortable using computers and learning veterinary practice software
  • Compassionate toward both animals and their owners
  • Able to remain calm and professional during stressful or emotional situations Veterinary or medical reception experience is a plus, but we value reliability, communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
