(BL-HHON-IUBLA) Department Information The Hutton Honors College (HHC) recruits talented, highly motivated students who enjoy thinking about problems from multiple perspectives and take pleasure in learning for its own sake. Through special events, interdisciplinary seminars, and support for research and study-abroad opportunities, we provide students with many of the benefits of attending a small college all in the context of an enormous, pluralistic, and distinguished research institution. Job Summary Serves as first point of contact for all visitors and callers to Hutton Honors College (HHC) including students, prospective students, parents, faculty, and media. Provides administrative support to the Dean and to HHC staff as other duties allow. Serves as receptionist for all HHC staff. Answers and directs incoming calls to appropriate staff. Manages the "Ask HHC" email account. Directs in-person visitors (including HHC students, prospective students/parents, campus colleagues) to appropriate staff. Provides administrative support for HHC academic advising staff (4 full-time, 2 graduate assistants). Schedules student and visitor appointments. Maintains calendars for advising staff. Coordinates with student interns/hourly workers. Qualifications

Required Bachelor's degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required 2 years of relevant experience SKILLS Required Proficient communication skills Effective interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to maintain confidential information Excellent judgment and decision-making skills Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities Maintain a high degree of professionalism Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation. This position requires the ability work on Friday from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Work Location Bloomington, Indiana This is an in-person position. Advertised Salary $16.00 per hour Work Hours 16 hours per week 9 hours of which must be worked on Fridays 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
The remaining hours will be on another weekday, to be coordinated with another part-time staff member.
