Overview The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a full -time, on-site Receptionist to join our team in our Newton , KS offices. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4 :30 PM with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends. As part of The US Oncology Network and with over 40 years being established in Kansas, CCK delivers quality, personalized cancer care to communities across the state. This position is responsible for ensuring a welcoming and efficient greeting and check-in experience for patients and visitors at the clinic in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner. Ensure all appropriate forms are complete, accurate, and signed according to company guidelines. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff for their appointments. This individual must also possess strong multi-tasking abilities for check-in responsibilities and inbound calls and message coordination. Additionally, the position supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values. Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are: Serve patients and visitors of the clinic by greeting, welcoming and directing as appropriate and in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner upon both arrival and departure. Completes check-in steps within the PMS and EMR to notify appropriate areas of patient arrivals. Communicates with staff on guest/ visitor arrivals, ensures guest sign-in and badge process is complete. Collects, proofs for completeness and assists in filing or directing flow of patient forms. May obtain and or updates demographics and insurance information in the system, when appropriate. May collect co-pays and balances; provides receipt. May collect updated insurance, co-pay or identification cards; scans and attached to the appropriate system. Answers phone calls in a prompt, courteous, professional manner. Provides general administrative support by scanning/filing charts and forms or ensuring they are sent to the appropriate department/personnel for filing and scanning or scans and files when requested. Maintains area in a neat and orderly manner. Maintains the daily appointment list for their site/ area and identifies no-shows, completing the documentation workflow for the same. Maintains a legible supply of forms and appropriate office supplies required for daily activities. Cross trains on other front desk responsibilities and duties that may vary based on location or department. Remains current on all compliance requirements and in part, demonstrates knowledge of Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws and guidelines with regards to patient's records and information. Attends required, applicable meetings. Remains current on all compliance requirements. Ensures all applicable policies and procedures of the company and Network are followed. Other duties as requested or assigned including coverage within the department.

None. Qualifications The ideal candidate for the position will have the following qualifications:
Education and or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one (1) year of front office experience preferred. Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required. Experience using a PMS and/ or EMR is a plus.
Personal Traits:
Displays a positive and professional demeanor each day towards patients, visitors, coworkers and the role's responsibilities. Comfortable working in a public-facing role. Demonstrates a willingness to work with and for others; is flexible and courteous. Exhibits behavior that promotes a spirit of cooperation. Displays good judgment in problem solving to ensure smooth front office operations. Accepts constructive criticism from upline reports.
