Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong communication skills, as well as proficiency in medical terminology and office management. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address inquiries. Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform insurance verification and assist with medical billing processes. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for documentation and scheduling. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness related to care plans and medical records. Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and follow-up appointments. Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming at all times. Experience Previous experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and patient service protocols is essential. Strong computer skills are required; experience with EHR systems. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective patient interactions. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
